Study task 3

Strike a pose

In study task 3 labelled 'Strike a pose' we needed to convey our ability to show emotion through our 3D character, this will benefit our capability to improve the narrative through emotion.

We chose from a list of emotions and had to manipulate Moom to achieve these emotions.

Here are my choices and results:

Awe

Awe was a tricky one to portray due to the similarities to other emotions such as excitement or surprise, but I decided to give my character an imaginary target to be in awe at, for example if a flock of elegant birds flew not far away.

the position of the eyes is quite important in this one, as it does give the impression that the target is in awe at something.

also the leaning forward slightly would relate to when someone is in such awe they will drift to the target, for example in a lot of disney animations, the characters lean into something that makes them awe and lose balance due to how much awe they are experiencing.
