a brief look at each brief

Idents:

Here are examples of different BBC3 idents, the brief is to create an ident for 3 different tv companies. i like how quirky they can be as there is no limit to the narrative but that can also open up the trap of being too complicated for something that should be simple, where as it can be as simple as you want!

Titles:

Here is an example of a title sequence, where the whole film/tv show or what ever the artefact is, is summed up by a short animation or film to show what the audience should expect from the artefact. there are also traps with this type of thing such as the title could show a different view of what the film is about, you could argue that a vague title sequence could be suspenseful, which i agree, but as long as it doesn't stray from the nature of the artefact!

Campaign:

This brief gives us the choice to produce a 40 second animation about either childline or amnesty international. this one has interested me the most as i like to make an impact to peoples emotions in any animation i do so this would be a good way to invoke a lot of feelings. as always there are traps that are easy to fall in; the style needs to be appropriate and sympathetic to the subject as a cartoony style of animation wont be taken seriously.
